5.30.10

The 28th was my 19th birthday! I got lots of "happy birthday" messages from my friends and had a great time. My friend Grace and I went to North Park Mall, which is one of the best malls in the Dallas area. It's huge. They had this car show going on around the mall and there were new police cars, Aston Martins, Lamborghinis, etc. We ate at a sandwich shop called Which Wich? (it's delicious) and then walked around the mall for a bit.

After that, we stopped by Sprinkles. You remember Sprinkles- it's the cupcake shop that I always have pictures of. I got 8 kinds of cupcakes: 2 red velvet, 2 dark chocolate, 2 strawberry, 1 pumpkin and 1 black and white. Only a few of them have been eaten so far, but they have all been scrumptious.

Once I got home, my mom and I watched a movie together and then we got ready to go out for dinner. We went to a restaurant called Mi Piaci. I ordered tortelloni (which is apparently how you say big tortellini) with king crab and asparagus garnish. It was reeeeeally good. It's one of those Italian restaurants that hand makes their noodles fresh every day. Usually when they do that the noodles are more al dente than usual, but that just means they're chewier. And tasty.

After that I opened presents! My parents wrapped a bunch of random trinkets into a bag and as I opened them I just kept thinking, "What kind of presents are these?" They gave me orange Tic Tacs from 2003, chapstick from around that time as well, 2 balloons and a pencil. Just really random things. Once I finished opening them, they said that I could either keep everything in the bag or take a card that they had in their hand. I wasn't going to lose anything by switching, so I opened the card and found a picture of the cell phone that I'd been wanting. It came in the mail yesterday and I have been playing with it ever since :) It's the HTC Tilt2. I put up a picture of it on an earlier post when I was debating what phones to get. Here it is again:
Pretty cool, huh?

Hope your summer is going well!
