I hope you're having a good summer, I am so far. The drive down to Texas was somewhat uneventful, albeit long. Really long. I've been working every day this week at a non-profit organization, and that will be my summer job for the next few months. It's going well, the organization has been growing a lot since I've been gone. It's just strange to come back and see how much bigger it's become. There were around 25 chapters of this organization when I started working there 2 years ago, and now there are well over 100. It's kinda cool.
My sister has been pretty sick lately. She had a kidney stone and has been in and out of the ER a couple times because the pain has been so bad. This has been going on since Friday of last week (it's Wednesday now). She's doing a lot better now, but it was pretty terrible for her earlier.
To all Rockhurst students: the grades are up! You can look at your unofficial academic transcript and find your final grades for classes and get your total GPA. Good luck!
This next month or so will be pretty quiet, I'm not traveling anywhere except St. Louis in about a month, so I'll just be talking about what's going on in Texas. We have a pretty big storm expected to hit us soon, so that's what's going on here now. There have been tons of storms hitting Oklahoma, accompanied with tornadoes and hail. My best friend moved there and now she's in the middle of some pretty big storm cells. Pretty scary stuff. Here's a picture of some of the recent tornado activity over there.
I've never been in the middle of a tornado. I've been around storms with tornadoes, but one has never come that close to my house before. I hope one never will!
