It snowed today!!

I am so happy that it snowed. As a Texan I don't see snow much (well except lately they've been getting a lot of it). And the snow here looks almost suspended mid-air when it falls, it's so pretty. It is a big trade-off, though. Nice pretty snow but FREEZING. AHH it's so cold!! I am not used to it at all. I can barely walk to get food, much less drive anywhere. Forget that altogether.

The first week of classes went well. I'm realizing the importance of intensive reading the help me in my classes. I like my schedule a lot better this semester, though. I don't have to wake up for 8 a.m. classes 4 days out of the week. I sleep in until at least 8:30, sometimes 10:30, depending on the day. It's very nice :)

This week, besides starting up new classes, I had my Delta Sigma Pi interview. Delta Sigma Pi is the professional business fraternity here at Rockhurst, and I'm really hoping that I get accepted :)

Well I haven't seen any movies this week, but I've heard about some. I usually go to rottentomatoes.com for my movie reviews, so here are some that I've come across recently. The movie Legion (Paul Bettany, Dennis Quaid) has gotten some mixed responses. It received 18% on the website, indicating that it might be something you should wait to see until it goes to DVD. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson starred in the movie The Tooth Fairy which got 15%. Way not surprising. The only thing more depressing than the movie would probably be his failed attempts at salvaging an acting career. I expected more good movies to be opening, but all of them seem to have bad reviews. The Lovely Bones got 36%, and I expected more from that, especially because the book was so good. The worst movie review that I have seen lately would be for Jackie Chen's new movie The Spy Next Door. That got 8%. Terrible. I feel bad for Jackie. I wish he could catch a break lately.

Anyway, I'll keep you guys updated! Here's a pretty snow picture.
