Hey guys!

Things have been pretty slow lately. Just been working, mostly. We tried to enter this Facebook competition for nonprofit organizations. If we were in the top 200 places we would've won $20,000. We had a really good shot at first, but not enough people voted at the end and we didn't win. But it's all good, maybe next year.

I'm getting my wisdom teeth out on Friday. I hear it's pretty bad. I'm not looking forward to it at all. I didn't know that there was an IV involved, either. I reaaaally don't like needles. I'm hoping that I won't feel it, but that's wishful thinking to the extreme.

I can't believe we come back to Rockhurst in a month! I'll be happy to come back. I like being home, but I miss my friends there and just...being independent. I still have to buy my books (what a beating) but I'll do that eventually.

So when Hurricane Alex hit, the edges came up across the country, and we got hit pretty hard with storms. We get lots of lightning and tornadoes around here because of the heat and the cool. But it's just what you have to get used to.

In a little over a week I'm going to a friend's sister's quinceanera. It's basically a "coming of age" celebration for a Hispanic girl turning 15 years old. I've never been to one, so I'm pretty excited. I'm going with my boyfriend, Colin, and some of his friends. Quinceaneras are really, really important, and are taken very seriously here. I'm excited to go to one.
